How to connect your APEX EV charger to a 4G network using the APEX EV app

We'll show you how to set up your Project EV APEX Charger with the free APEX EV app. This should be done as part of your installer's commissioning process and helps to validate your warranty. However, if your 4G connection has dropped out or has not been connected, please follow the instructions below:

First of all, follow the "How to register on the APEX EV app" guide

Then:

  1. Turn on your device's Bluetooth settings
  2. Enable the “allow new connections” option
  3. Click the green "+" button
  4. Enter the charger serial number or scan the QR code
  5. Your charger should then show in “local device”
  6. Click on the unit
  7. Click on the burger menu in the top right
  8. Go to Network
  9. Click on the 4G tab
  10. Enter the LteAPn: inetd.vodafone.iot
  11. Ensure LteUser & LtePassword are both blank
  12. Ensure LteAuthentication is set to “None”
  13. Click Setting, your charger will then reboot
  14. Your charger will now show in Cloud Device and has been successfully connected to a 4G network
