How to Commission a Project EV charger using the app:

  1. Download Project EV App from your App Store
  2. Create an Account
  3. Press icon on top right corner of the page to Add charger
  4. Input Charger's serial number or scan QR code on the unit (these are located on the side of the charger). You should reveice a message saying "Executed Successfully"
  5. Return to the home screen and the Charger should appear in the list of chargers
  6. Click on the charger
  7. Click settings icon in the top-right of the screen
  8. Click "Initial Setup"
  9. If using an IOS device click "Go to the WLAN page to set up>". If using an Android device, leave the app and go to your phone's Wi-Fi settings page. Search available Wi-Fi networks
  10. Turn your charger off at the consumer unit and turn back on
  11. After a short period of time (up to 3 minutes), a Wi-Fi displaying the charger's serial number should appear in the available networks.
  12. Connect to this network. The default password is "12345678". You may receive a message saying, "Internet not available. Connect anyway" or something similar. Confirm this
  13. Return to the app
  14. Underneath Current connected WiFi, the charger's serial number should be shown. Click Next
  15. Please Update Wi-Fi name and Password in the settings page
  16. Update any Solar or Load management settings, if required
  17. Press Save
  18. The charger will now reboot and, if entered correctly, will shortly show as Available in the app

  • Be through all the information but unable to join the Wi-Fi, mabyne out of signal.

    Changed in settings to plug and charge but unable to connect. App shows method as app but unable to change because will not connect via Wi-Fi.
    Just seems like going round and round in a cycle

  • The Apex 7 has no support documentation and is poorly supported!!! It’s new but you should be prepared. The app that is downloaded for this new charger is completely different to the Project Ev App! My customer is losing faith in this charger already as they are having problems and there is nothing on your website to support it!
