How to set up the CT Clamp with your Project EV Car Charger

We'll show you how to set up your Project EV Charger with the free Project EV App.

  1. Download the Project EV App (App Store, Google Play Store).
  2. Create new account (complete the form).
  3. Scan the QR / barcode on the charger or Enter the serial number manually via the keyboard on your phone.
  4. Power down the charger at the supply.
  5. Power up the charger (After 90 seconds this will begin to transmit it’s own WIFI Hotspot for a further 90 seconds).
  6. Go to your phones WIFI settings and select the charger’s serial number displayed in your WIFI SSID available networks.
  7. Enter the default password of ‘12345678’.
  8. Once connected return to the Project EV App.
  9. Press the WIFI settings symbol (Top Right) to enter the Hotspot Connection Page.
  10. Ensure your serial number is displayed in the WIFI connected box on screen. Select ‘Connected, Next’.
  11. This will now display the settings / configurations menu.
  12. Scroll down through the settings to find 'Enable Power Allocation Charge.
  13. Enable this setting.
  14. Find the setting, "External current sampling wiring method" and set it to the CT option.
  15. Locate the "Externally monitored max input power (kW) option. 
  16. Set this number to match your main fuse size.
  17. Press enter, then save.
  18. Locate the CT Clamp connection area from the end of the video.
